Our client’s goal
Our client is an international Professional services company headquartered in London, United Kingdom with offices across the UK, Europe, US and Asia. The company is an FTSE 250 multi award winning employer that provides high quality training to university graduates, ex-forces personnel and returners to work, transforming them into professional IT and business consultants.
The company was working on an ageing on premises exchange environment and this was starting to cause problems in terms of reliability and downtime. They needed a solution to enable a more flexible modern workplace for their global end users as well as increase the overall agility of the organisation. To meet these goals they needed to bring all the offices together by using one Office 365 tenant and allow all offices across the globe to meet in the Microsoft cloud.
Acora’s Professional Services Division were engaged to define a global Service Design for the new Microsoft Office 365 and Azure IaaS platform. Following the completion and acceptance of the global recommendations from the Service Design Phase, the company engaged Acora as their deployment partner and begin working on the Office 365 and Azure Migration project.
Migration of 4,000 email accounts from on-premise Exchange into Office365, including enablement of Skype for Business, Teams and OneDrive
Migration of virtual machines from on-premise VMWare environment into Azure IAAS
Migration of company website into Azure Web App
Migration of sites to Palo Alto solution, with Palo Alto Threat Prevention deployed within Azure
The project has brought many benefits for the company in terms of efficiency, time and cost saving and improved security. The company has engaged in a 24/7 managed service contract with Acora, to provide support to the company’s global office users and existing infrastructure.
