There was no doubt that the Three Peaks Challenge was going to be difficult and our team did experience some minor injuries: sore feet, sore backs and general exhaustion. Despite this they managed to climb Ben Nevis, Snowden and Scaffel Pike all in 24 hours.
And they did it through the scorching sun and freezing snow, with only a few team members bowing out due to injury.
Although they didn’t think so at the time…it’s safe to say that the team enjoyed their experience. They tried their hardest, worked together and can be proud of what they achieved. In total they raised £785 for the British Heart Foundation, exceeding their original £500 target.
Doug Hesketh Director of Consulting Services summed up his experience:
“Now I can go home with a real sense of achievement and pride and with my head held high… if I could actually stand up that is.”
