Eleven employees from Acora have pledged to put their fitness to the test and support British Heart Foundation by signing up to take part in the Three Peaks Challenge.
The plucky volunteers are hard in training for the 24 hour challenge which takes place from 12th-13th June, and takes in Britain’s three highest peaks.
The group will start out at Ben Nevis at 6pm on the Friday. A quick overnight hop to Wasdale Head will then be followed by a dawn scramble of Scafell Pike. Once completed, the climbers will then cross over to Wales where tired legs will have to take them up and down Snowdon within the desired 24h timescale.
The challenge was the idea of Acora’s Chief People Officer David Hemmings.
“My intention for the challenge was to encourage team spirit and morale whilst at the same time raising as much money as possible for our chosen charity, the British Heart Foundation”
“We know it will be a tough challenge but we intend to stick together as a team and try to motivate and encourage each other through the aches, pains, blisters and sleep deprivation!’’
